Actually I'm quite glad you asked this question. I was contemplating putting up a similar post yesterday but didnt quite know how to word my question, but you seem to have covered it pretty well. I can't offer any insight but I do share your dilemma. Often times I'm just not motivated to train or to study or whatever it may be. It's almost like a lack of spirit. Lately what I've been trying to do is meditate to counteract this. Sit in a quite place and just focus really hard on your goals, what you want to accomplish and how badly you want it. Try to build up your fighting spirit through this. You can't use your fighting spirit if there's nothing for you to fight against, so identify what your obstacles are and fight against them, hard.
As far as your exams go and studying it seems that your biggest obstacle right now is yourself, not him. If you really don't like him then study SO hard, do SO well, that he can't do anything but give you the high grave you deserve. Fight him so hard that he has no choice but to recognize your accomplishments. The way you describe him he sounds as if he's playing games with your grades, and you've made it clear that you're familiar with it, so play his game and beat him at it. There's your motivation, if there's something that you want to accomplish then treat the journey to your goal as a battlefield and blast through everything in your way. If you have the desire to fight hard enough your motivation, your fighting spirit, will kick in.

BUT!!! That's just what's running through my mine. I'm young and I just started college so what do I know right? But take it for what you will. I would love to hear from the senior members of the forum on this.
