Yet, I imagine, if you are a girl that was just raped, it is dark, and you are not a cliff jumper, a 75 foot drop into nothing (from her perspective) is death.

Not to mention, purposefully jumping 75 feet is a lot different than being thrown off at that height. That alone could make all the difference.
