The surcharge is not for CO2 emissions, but for driving a diesel. I think it's a 4% addition to the benefit in kind tax.

Currently I pay 40% tax on 13% (this number varies depending on emissions) of the value of the car per month.

The diesel surcharge is 3%.

You should be paying at least 15% on a 320d by now - 2012-2013 tax year. Next year it will be 16%.

An Audi says the decision maker has arrived

No, it says a ****** has arrived, and they're usually wearing an entire tub of hair gel. Especially true of white Audis I find.
