You don't have to drop it entirely, I don't consider myself teatotal, just don't happen to drink alcohol the last few years and I expect that there will be times I will just feel like a drink and, if it's convenient, will have some.
Then again, I may be like that because my father was an alcoholic (occupational hazard in the hotel trade) and lost the family hotels and shop - and, effectively, his family as we moved to our mother's country following the divorce.
