If a person is pulled over and lacks a valid license, what happens? They get a ticket, right? Anything else? Is there followup? Is proving citizenship part of it? Does it even come into play? I was threatened with arrest after an accident when I couldn't produce the license fast enough for the cop's tastes and he started to think I didn't have one.
