You know, in a way it really doesn't make sense for the most experienced leaders to stay out of politics. At least in theory, wouldn't it be a nice idea to have special Senate seats reserved for ex-Presidents?

Putin is a completely different matter though, he wants to retain his executive powers under a different name, but it's food for thought.
