Not in and of itself. Maybe depending on the object being blown up, that might produce sparklies, but that's not the same. Plus, IIRC, a Molotov Cocktail in addition to having an accelerant, usually has something akin to liquid soap mixed in its concoction, yes to confirm I did a Google search on what the history and makeup of a Molotov Cocktail is.

I have in my sorted past "observed" such device at a pretty close range..although where I came from they were known as a Wake-up Call
