But how can they think that, if they're turks? don't they know how their family look? don't they know how turks look? turks are dark-haired and dark-eyed. Jews are blonder than them. how stupid can those turks that you talked to possibly be? |

They can simply come from fair looking families or have most of relatives who look fair. For example most of my relatives and family memebers look pretty White (Euro) with the exception of my Dad and couple other relatives. and also since turks look much less european than georgians the possibility of their families being fair is reduced. LOL some people think my brother, who isjewish, looks german. botto line: turks are stupid, and on top of that they want to transfer their stupidity to us through neo-ottomanism ![]() |

On one side of Turkey is Europe, where the modern world was invented and almost all of mankind's greatest achievements were created.
On the other side are countries like Iran and Syria, where governments do who knows what to their people. Wouldn't you want to associate yourself with one rather than the other? |

On one side of Turkey is Europe, where the modern world was invented and almost all of mankind's greatest achievements were created. b) their own government is not so far from syria or iran. it's just a little better. they're far from being a democracy. c) I have no problems to associate myself with syria GENETICALLY. culturally Israelis are not europeans, nor are we arabic in culture. we have a unique culture that is special and can't fall under regular categories. I feel more connected to a Druze(google the word if you don't know what it means) who serve in the army than italins or greeks, and i would prefer to associate myself with the Druze and not the Greek. I don't get why would turks want to associate themselves with nords, since they make fun of themselves. |

I have not seen Turkish people trying to be "something else". I believe it is time we describe a condition which I would call the Fenno-Turkish Syndrome. It so happened that Finns and Turks are the westernmost representatives of their ethno-linguistic families (Finnic and Turkic respectively). They are more European in genetic and anthropological terms than their eastern kinsmen, and also more developed. This makes Finns and Turks look at other Finnic and Turkic ethnicities condescendingly. At the same time Finnish and Turkic nationalists like any other nationalists seek inspiration from their ancient cultures, which makes them turn to their less civilized eastern brethren, who have preserved those cultures much better. An example can be seen in the use of national epics. The Finnish national identity is centered around the Kalevala, which is based on epic songs of Russian Karelians. Finns proper have no epic songs of their own. Anatolian Turks also have no epic songs of their own and have to seek inspiration in the epics of their eastern Oghuz kinsmen. Finns and Turks aspire to be as Western and European as possible. They also aspire to be leaders of their respective ethno-linguistic families. But the kinship with uncivilized eastern ethnicities with a strong Mongoloid component compromises their Western and European status. This generates a complicated love-hate attitude, exactly which I would call the Fenno-Turkish Syndrome. http://www.forumbiodiversity.com/sho...ighlight=Fenno |

Turks are somewhat swarthier than Georgians on average but they have people in the West who are both genetically and phenotypically substantially more Euro than Georgians. I've met both Turkish nordicists who think that Turkey is a nordic country surrounded by darkies and Turkish turanists who think that Turkey is a sort of little Mongolia. |
