So you value money more than intelligence. Personally I find money to be a poor marker of success in life though I know for most people it is the only marker. Intelligence is valuable for its own sake and not just what it might be able to bring you monetarily.

Anyone can have money, or rather anyone can end up with money through good fortune and/or hard work, but intelligence is something you either have or don't have. You can improve what you are born with of course, by reading widely or doing algebra or whatever.
