Default Would people perceive them in your community as average "black"?
This question goes especially to all People of African Heritage in the New World(African Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Latin Americans and Black Canadians).

1. Abdullahi Yusuf(Somalia)

2. Adel Yahya(Ethiopian but raised up in Yemen: He is propably Yemeni or half Yemeni/ half Harar Oromo because of his oromo surname)

3. Saleh Ali Saleh(Somalia but born in Kenya)

4. Ramzi bin al-Shibh(Yemen)

5. Badr Hari(Morocco)

6. Ali el Sharkawy(Egypt)

7. Ali Abdullah Saleh(Yemen)

No.
There should've been a poll with this.

Sorry, I didn't see the poll! :P

the somali-kenyan and Ethiopian-yemeni look less mixed than the rest

the Moroccan one would be just seen as a Moroccan or a moor in most of Europe,in America the same althought at first glance people would assume him to be hispanic

he doesn't look Afram at all

OP, you already know what the answers are going to be.

Im from the DC area and NONE of the Ethiopian pictures looks like the average member of their community.

The first picture would be considered Black, not the "average" which makes sense, but black nonetheless. Most New World Blacks understand that Black peoples from Africa are diverse.

But Badr Hari shows minor negroid influence. He looks more mixed than the others.

Sorry to tell you, but most Ethiopians/horn of Africans in the US call themselves Black. Black =/= West African descent only. We know people like you dont like being in the "black" category because you have been taught to see it as inferior. You want posters to gush and be like "Oh no! How could they possibly be black! They are not black!"

All these labels drive people crazy.

he shows 30% or a bit less of negroid but he falls into the Northern african diversity and people will not consider him black but Moroccan or a "moro" in Spain

he is also very ambigous in pics,in some pics he looks less mixed

I know but the question goes in fact to all afrocentrist people(NewWorldBlacks) who even call Mariah Carey black. I think in the Afram-Communtiy, they would seen Bard Hari as Black guy.

well the ODR is an American law and isn't applied to the old world because admixture took place long beafore the existence of such law and all the important civilization never considered those people black even when they were already mixed...
I don't care If Mariah is considered black she's after all a new world woman and she has recent african american ancestry so that law applies to her as a new world American citizen

Badr Hari doesn't look mixed at all. Not more than the average Morrocan anyway.
