I wanted to know if there are some urban tribes in your countries. I think most of Western countries must have urban tribes such as the Chavs in the UK or the Valley Girls in the USA...

I'll show you the three main urban tribes in Chile

1- Pelolais

Umm 'pelo' = 'hair' and 'liso' means 'straight', but people of low class tend to think that 'liso' is 'lais' in english, so this 'pelolais' took that name laughing at people who doesn't speak or understand english properly

It's not exactly Emo... Emos are counted as a different group, less numerous.

Umm 'roto' is kinda an ugly word refered to people of low class or bad education.

E.g.:
- Why didn't she say hi to me?
- I think she doesn't like you
- So? You say hi to people you don't like anyway, it's about education. She is such a 'rota'

xDDD

Pelolais are... Umm yes, kinda like preppies
