Default Is French Football racist against whites?
After watching the recent Toulon tournament I noticed that at times there were 10 blacks on the field and just one white guy. And the team is almost 80% black. Why is it like that if blacks are max 5% of the French population? The Netherlands has more blacks than france in %, but their team is representative of them. 8 out of 11 players were white, one was arab and the other two black. The team was about 80% white.
Is there such a massive demographic replacement in france that most young people are black nowadays? Or what is happening. Don't tell me it's because blacks are better players, because that's bullshit. France was eliminated without scoring a goal in 2002, the greeks won euro 2004, Italy won 2006, euro was won by spaniards against germans, and the four top teams in the 2010 were Spain, Netherlands, Germany and Uruguay with mostly white players on their teams. Again france eliminated without scoring a goal. I can only see that there is racism against white players and that's why they are so underrepresented.

Do you watch European football? The top French players that play in the teams in Europe like Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc. either descend from former French West African colonies like Senegal, Ivory Coast, Benin, etc. or North African colonies in Morocco and Algeria.

There are some good ethnic Frenchman footballers in France too like Yohan Cabaye, Philippe Mexès, Hugo Llloris, Jérémy Ménez, Olivier Giroud, Kévin Gameiro, Mathieu Debuchy or Franck Ribéry but the top players have been mostly African or North African as of recently. Although, that trend seems to be changing a bit due to players like I mentioned above.

It is true that in Europe there are many outstanding black players. The problem is that up to 11 outstanding players not yet created an outstanding team. Look at Germany. They do not have particularly big stars, but in almost every tournament, there are high.

Still, I doubt that there are so few good white players to make up only 10% of the u21 french team, where few top players play, when countries with bigger or similar black populations have fairly representative teams like the Dutch. Hell, even Brazil has more white players in their u21 team than France and Brazil has a non-white majority population!

I can guarantee you it's not racism. Many of these African and North African Berber footballers are fed football from their births because many of them grow up in poor ghettos of Paris with football as their only hope out. So when they gain access to the top training facilities France has, it's no surprise they become top footballers. I'm guessing that with ethnic Frenchman football isn't emphasized as much in their youth so they have to play catch up if they want to compete with France's top African and North African descended talent. Although, I could be wrong.

Anyways, the French team is majority African and North African at the moment and they have won 20 matches in a row. Their current crop of players including French Africans, French North Africans and ethnic Frenchman has a lot of potential and will be one of the better teams at Euro 2012.

Anyways, I think France is a special case in comparison to other European countries. I'm pretty damn sure if had more top ethnic French players, they would be playing over the African and North African descended players but they don't.

Anyways, here is their Euro 2012 squad.

Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris (Olympique Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Olympique Marseille), Cedric Carrasso (Girondins Bordeaux)

Defenders: Gael Clichy (Manchester City), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Philippe Mexes (AC Milan), Adil Rami (Valencia), Mathieu Debuchy (Lille), Anthony Reveillere (Olympique Lyon)

Midfielders: Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle United), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Samir Nasri (Manchester City), Alou Diarra (Olympique Marseille), Yann M’vila (Stade Rennes), Marvin Martin (Sochaux), Blaise Matuidi (Paris St Germain)

Forwards: Hatem Ben Arfa (Newcastle United), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich), Olivier Giroud (Montpellier), Jeremy Menez (Paris St Germain), Mathieu Valbuena (Olympique Marseille).

Their ethnic French players would be Hugo Lloris, Cedric Carrasso, Philippe Mexes, Anthony Reveillere, Yohan Cabaye, Franck Ribery, Olivier Giroud and Jeremy Ménez.

So 8/23 players are ethnic French. The other ethnic European players would be Laurent Koscielny (Polish) and Mathieu Valbuena (Spanish). I'm not sure about Marvin Martin though. He could be ethnic French but it's hard for me to tell.

You should only be able to play for a national team if all of your grandparents were born in that country.

@ the thing in bold

You forgot to tell that they won the only WC they got and next Euro 2000? Between 1998 and 2002 France had the best national team in the world. And a lot of these Blacks are from the French Antilles which makes them as French as all the others.

Actually, Germany is full of top talent. Their first 11 has the likes of Philipp Lahm, Matt Hummels, Mario Gomez, Mesut Özil, Bastian Schweinsteiger, etc.

They also have amazing young players like Mario Gotze, Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos, Andreas Schurrle and Holger Badstuber.

Well, I'm assuming the other 3/4 are ethnic French and it's not like Portuguese are exactly a world apart from Southern French. I'm sure there are many ethnic French that are somewhat mixed with other Euros but are still majority French.

Anyways, do you have a source he's 1/4 Portuguese other than his name?

Also, I never said the ethnic Frenchman in the Euro 2012 are the team's best players. They definitely aren't. France's best players would be Lloris, Benzema, Evra and probably Ribery if I had to pick.

Although, some of its ethnic French players like Cabaye and Giroud have had breakout years and have great futures.

I never said he was ethnic German so I don't see what's funny? He's one of Germany's best players and their attack is just not the same without him.

Barca are probably still the best team but they had a terrible year and came out with a single trophy (Copa Del Ray).

Anyways, the majority of their best players are ethnic Spanish (Catalans mostly) but they are an exception in the football world. Most football teams aren't like that.

However, things will probably change with Barca once Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol retire. They will still have Fabregas, Messi, Pique, etc. but they might not have as much top Catalan talent unless their youth teams keep pumping out top players.
