Default snake snake fish fish-Thai humour
Anybody know where the phrase "ngoo ngoo pla pla" comes from. I know its what Thai say about farang when they can't speak proper but why? And it creates great mirth when you say it to a Thai

งูงูปลาปลา

..........is that how you would write it in Thai? I've never tried writing anything with a Thai keyboard before so I thought I'd try. Any suggestions would be helpful

Hi Ben, it's not just what the Thais call Farangs who can't speak English well.

In fact, I hear the phrase more often connected to Thais trying to speak English. It translates kinda like 'pidgen'.

"Where you go" or "Where are you come from?" is speaking 'snake snake fish fish'

Classic other examples of 'Snake Snake Fish Fish' are:

"That is the bird big big"

"You the handsome man too much"

"I love very very the man Farang"

and

"Hello, i take you shop have special price"
