I don't know what RottUnpunk's degree(s) are in, but if you are going to follow the path of higher learning you have to be realistic about what you want and things. Many higher degrees are pretty much useless in terms of getting a decent paying job. Make sure to investigate not only whether you like doing a particular thing, but also that there are jobs and advancement opportunities in the field you want to pursue.
i did law
i managed to get an offer for a pupilage (which are dead hard to get)
unfortunately thats to be a barrioster.
i didnt have enough money so i did the lpc to be a solicitor, now i cant get a training contract or para legal job or even a legal sec job. no one told me this before i did the degree.

i might as well have done fine art or farm management or summit-then atleast i could have got a first or a 2.1 at the end of my name. foolish me thought there were lots of jobs after a law degree-plus i screwed up the 3rd year cuz of outside factors-grrrg.

I'm trying to get into a doctorate program in history while working part-time as a postman.

There are a lot of smart people practicing kendo. Coincidence? I think not. I hear what you're saying Nodachi. Exam periods wouldn't be so bad...if it weren't for the exams. I have exam number 4 out of 5 tonight.

Since it appears many of us are going to or have completed undergrad and some have completed graduate school so this makes me wonder. Out of all of you that went on to graduate degree work, were you able to continue practicing kendo at the same time?
