At Obukan, the senior sempai leads the lineup in the dojo kun after seiza, rei and mokuso. With appropriate volume and emphasis, of course...

I remember my first trial by fire. I was the highest kyu in a brand new school. I was only a new yellow belt in karate. My Sensei had a mild heart attack. He had me ask the parents of the children's class if they wanted to take 2 months off, until Sensei would be healthy enough to teach. Or, I would teach the kids class. They opted for us to keep going. After 2 months those kids did a nearly flawless Seisan and perfect basics. (As much as you expect from kid white belts). It was one of the hardest things to do, 2 classes a week 1.5 hours per class.

If you got nothing to say, you can always say one of these...

1) Stop using right hand
2) Back straight
3) More kiai
4) Stronger seme (udansha)
5) Move your left foot quickly, bring it faster
6) Work on you kote-men step...

exactly. i made sure i was keeping the tempo going so people will not cool down inbetween the rotation. kept an eye on everyone so i could talk to them individually during the water break on what might need further work (we only had 5 people including me so it wan't all that hard noticing what new guy was doing). by the end of kihon-geiko, i was sweating like lil piggie as my son calls it.
