After searching high and low, I could not find a beer thread, so here it is!

Whats your favourite?

none its all horrid.
i dont mind a quarter pint of a nice british real ale, preferrably one of the honey or liquoricey ones,
but then its back to whiskey and other spirits.

i have quite a high tolerance, which makes getting drunk expensive, but thats ok because i dont like getting drunk anyways.
have you never tasted dooleys steph? or i have this strawberry liquore stuff from france which is oh so nice.

Anchor Steam - great beer that is easy to find at stores.
Terminator Stout - exceptional stout, but very hard to find outside Oregon.

La Fin Du Monde (Canada)

One must be careful with La Fin Du Monde though as it's something upwards of 10%

haha, any americans out there? how about the worst 3:

Not that I can drink it with or without the medals. I'd say you could add Michelob Ultra Amber, and every Coors product to your list too.

too many to list. but some of the best brew i had were home brews. before my first son was born, i used to brew at home.. rather prefer british ale over german lagers.

Like Pete said... too many to list. Some of my top favs though (and I include porter and ale in this... ). Brewery in ():

Spotted Cow (New Glarus);
Duck Rabbit Porter (Duck Rabbit)
Pilot Mountain Pale Ale (Foothills Brewing Co.)


but there are a lot more that I like...

As for the worst.. I'd go with Genesee Cream Ale, Bud anything and.... there are so many bad ones the third is hard to name.

I've been drinking Dogfish Head beer recently - from some place in Delaware. Very nice beers. At one brew fest I had their 60-minute pale ale filtered through a large bed of fresh hops. Wow, that was good. My favorites change frequently:

1) Tie between Dogfish Head's Indian Brown and 60-minute pale.
2) My local brewpub's pumpkin ale - should be coming out soon.
3) Cantillon's Organic Gueuze - one of the few imports that still tastes good after importation.

Domestic Mexican Beer:

Not necesarilly in that order, but according to my mood

Absolutelly hate Corona

1. Guinness
2. Krucovice (dark one), its a Czech beer - lovely....
3. Lion beer - the first beer I sort of seriously drank - a S.African beer.

1) Hobgoblin Dark Ale
2) Blacksheep Mild
3) Newcastle Brown

There isn't any better beer then the Belgium beers I sadly have to admit even thou the Dutch beers are a good second.

A nice double trappist or a La chouffe does alot of good to me:P yummy

2) Asahi Super Dry (Japan)
3) Singha Gold (Thailand)

asahi is too dry for my taste. rather prefer kirin ichiban.

one thing i noticed is that once i'm drunk, almost any beer tastes good to me.

To my palette, pale ales have even less taste than light beers. Especially crappy India Pale Ales. In Canada we have a beer called Alexander Keith's IPA and it is hugely popular....yet I have no idea why. Well actually, it's probably because a lot of people who drink beer don't drink it because they like the TASTE, but because they want to get drunk.
