Default wii
Now that I have finally had a chance to play some Wii Sports, all I have to say is:

Wii kendo would totally rock

What about Red Steel?
Don't you use the Wii remote to slash?
I doubt there's much Kime though....

I haven't played Red Steel, but I have been playing Zelda and you do slash with the sword and it's very cool.

But the thing is that I don't really see any reason you couldn't simulate all basic shikake and oji waza with the wiimote. It isn't just about the slashing. It's too bad that the nunchuk cable is so short, or I bet you could do nito as well.

Red Steel sucks big time even for your average gamer. Kenshis would puke.

Yeah, I'm dying to get my hands on a Wii, but if it came packaged with Red Steel instead of Wii Sports, I'd toss that shit out before it tainted my console with its intense craptacularity.

Raving Rabbids looks like a blast, though. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with kendo.

The bleach game will have the wiimote be a sword (looks promising). Personally, I can't wait for the new smash bros to come out for it (thank goodness its made for gamecube remote). How much I like it will be the deciding factor in whether or not I get a wii. It'd be tough to beat melee though...

I'm kind of on the fence about the new SSB. On the one hand, I'm a ravid fan of the first two games, but on the other, I really, really, really don't want Snake in their.

Awooga Guy concurs. Surely it's only a matter of time before a kendo game comes out for the Wii. Red Steel is... ok but the sword work isn't realistic. Wii Sports is the best game for the system and it comes bundled with it Rayman Raving Rabbids is great - the funniest game Awooga Guy has ever played. Wario Ware is essential too and so is Excite Truck.

If anyone wants to add Awooga Guy, his Wii Friend Code is:

5336 9223 4908 8541

PM Awooga Guy with your friend code it you add him

That is all.

Wario Ware is very cool But so is Rayman Raving Rabbids, they're very similar games. Get 'em both I guess Wario Ware just has the edge...

That is all.

Im still in munich right now, Ill check out the stores here maybe its ia tad cheaper. going home tomorrow evening

Ive baught the total destruction rampage thing, where you're this big monster and smash things and eat people. great fun gets a bit boring though after a while.
also finished zelda a month ago or something, maybe more, bought farcry but Im stuck.

so warioware is more fun then the wii play game? cause that was rubbish.

Yeah Wii Play was very limited, it's really just a tutorial for the remote. Wii Sports is so much better, especially when you regularly compete with friends.

Wario Ware is a very very good game, it's inspired and surreal. Have you played any of the previous Wario Ware games? Awooga Guy has played through them all and loved all of them. You have a couple of hundered mini games, each lasting less than 5 seconds and you have to work out what to do. Great stuff It get's a solid 9 Awoogas out of 10. Second only to Wii Sports.

That is all.

I can't be bothered to buy an expensive gaming console, but if I did, I would probably choose the Wii over PS3 and the 360.

I have a Nintendo DS, but I don't use it much.

Too bad, Dervish. There is some great stuff for the DS. For a while my wife and I were playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Trauma Center, both great games. So we were a doctor and a lawyer respectively. Yeah, in my dreams.

I live on the Computer Interest Floor at my University. We have like 6 Wii systems going at once it seems. Also, the majority of the kendo club live on this floor. Kendo Wii.... I cannot express my excitement at the idea!

Thanks for those recommendations! So far I have Rocket Slime, and the two Castlevania games (PoR and DoS). I'll probably get FF3 and Dragon Quest 9 sometime (when DQ9 is out). It's not that I don't think there are good games on DS, but I'd just rather not spend on games now
