The weirdest sin...
 

Hi,

I have the impression that quite a lot of kendo beginners do quite weird things that have to do with kendo...

Like me: A friend of mine and me were fighting with shinai (without bogu) on a very nice hill that we still just call "hayama" xD

Now, what's your weirdest kendo sin?


Mine is playing the Tetris theme on the tsuru of my shinai (I've become quite good at it xD ).

i (somtimes) wrap napkins on the tip of my shinai with a rubber band, and kill any small insects i find in my house with katate "tsuki". killing is a sin .. no? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/confused.gif Of course, other times I just let them go/live.

I take damaged shinai's (the cheap ones you don't want to save any staves from) and splinter them on our practice dummy. Pretending it is Ronald Gotlin. We even have named it Gotlin. A sin (no). But it makes a mess.

HAHAHAHA ronald gotlin!!, must spread rep for that.
I have a kendo dummy and Ive named it "jorge" is a teacher of mine that I hate.

Ive also played songs with the suru of my shinai... Im shodan now, but I still do it :S

i have been playing the shinai as an instrument since day one. i think its time to create an all shinai band

Nah man. If it's the BWV 996 in E minor then you're going to need two shinai. Without the bassline it just doesn't work.

There seem to be too few notes that can be played for mario.... I use a tsuba that I put between shinai and tsuru to enlarge the number of playabe sounds...

It's a pity that there is only one string... the spanisch romance on a 6-tsuru shinai... hmm... xD

Yeah! How about "The kendo ensamble". The first song might be "Kendo on the water" xD
Or how about "Knockin' on heaven's dou" xD
