Chellamay’, SUN TV’s prime time show, is yet another venture of Radaan Mediaworks with the female protagonist (Radikaa Sarathkumar) taking on the evil to protect her innocent family and spreading joy even during the toughest of times.
The story of ‘Chellamay’ follows Avudaiappan (Ravikumar), a widower and the sole breadwinner of his joint family, which includes his widowed sister Thazhaiamma (Subashini) and her children. The family migrates to Chennai with close friend Thavasi (Delhi Ganesh) to start a restaurant which they name ‘Chellamay’. Thavasi, with an underlying motive, tries to create rift between Avudaiappan and his sister. But Avudaiappan’s daughter Chellama (Raadhika Sarathkumar) becomes the backbone of the family.
Chellama’s struggle to support her family, as well as successfully run the business against Thavasi’s plans, establishes the premise for this mega Tamil TV series.

Selvi, along with her stepmother Thangam and step-siblings, comes to Chennai in a hope to find some work and pay off her father's debts. In Chennai she meets her childhood friend Tamarai, who is happily married to GJ. Selvi eventually ends up working in GJ's company, marrying him under tragic circumstances and finding some shocking truths about him.
The TV series beautifully show the strength of a woman who is confronted with some bitter truths and surpass all the obstacles of her life to embrace her relations with love and dignity.
