I think it's ok, but it's more b-side/live material, not something that belongs on the album. It's nice to hear some more new stuff though.

Interesting....

http://i35.tinypic.com/2uzqtzr.jpg

A leaked recording confirmation of new songs for Gaga's new album. Not sure of its legitimacy, it's been going around the blogs. Not sure of the source. "Hooker On a Church Corner" was a phrase Gaga used in one of her statuses... there's also a photo of Gaga entering a studio with a rose in her purse, while she was in Sydney. In other words, if this is a fake, it's a damn good one!

I remember reading about this somewhere. Someone tried leaking it on twitter or something until #stopleakinggaga became trending?

Gaga announced the title for her upcoming album when Cher presented her with the Video of the Year Award. She then proceeded to sing some of the lyrics.

BORN THIS WAY

The lyrics she sang were: “I am beautiful in my way, cause God makes no mistakes, I’m on the right track, baby I was born this way!”

It was a good night for Gaga, I think she set the record for most VMA wins in a night, and it was great to see her with Cher.

Same here. It's only 2 lines, so hopefully the rest of it is better, but still. Meh. Meat purse one the other hand? Awesome.

She's beyond sweet. You can tell she's fairly down to earth. I'm not a huge fan of those lyrics either, but it's probably too early to start criticizing.

Bowie, huh? Makes a TON of sense. I believe this.

Her working with Bowie and him appearing on the next album almost sounds too good to be true. I'd think if she were to collaborate with any other artist on the next album it'd be Elton John. Has Bowie ever commented on Gaga anywhere? I don't recall him ever saying anything about her (not that he's been doing any press lately).

I was skeptical, but Gaga just tweeted this:

ladygaga Just emerged from studio bender to hear we won two teen choice awards. Thank you for believing in me little monsters! I'm your hooker. X

Hooker, eh?

Gaga said that a number of things are inspiring her lately, including the recent overturning of Prop 8 in California. "I felt like it was a revolution, a gunshot went off. It was so exciting when it happened. For me, it was a moment that indicates it can happen in every state now," she said. "I was so happy, and I went right into the studio and I kept writing. [My album] kind of is done, but I can't stop writing music. I don't know what I'm going to do. I might have to put out two records."

She shouldn't say things like that and get us all excited! That said, I'm waiting anxiously for January. I might pop.
