So. I took my dad to the Joanna concert last month and he enjoyed it despite having heard absolutely no music from her before. None! So now I want to make a good introductory mix CD.
Bearing in mind that the CDs hold maximum 80mins and Joanna has a propensity for long songs, this is a bit of a tricky task! I originally included "Have One On Me" since it was in the set at my show, but I've discovered that cutting it allows room for some more. I don't want to overload the disc with longer songs but it's hard finding the balance. I think I want to include the following (not devised an order yet) '81 Bridges and Balloons Easy Soft as Chalk Cosmia Emily Good Intentions Paving Company Baby Birch The Book of Right-On Inflammatory Writ Jackrabbits Peach Plum Pear Which, at 72 minutes, maybe leaves room for one more short-ish one. So what do you guys think of the art of making a Joanna mix CD? Any success/failure stories? |
