I really am having trouble with You and Me, Bess, too. It's the only part of Disc 2 that I have trouble with now. My mind just wanders whenever I listen to it.

Well I was alright with it until I heard Esme and then I was like "Gee this is kind of like You and Me Bess but ... way better."

Default HOOM: which disc is the best?
So.. just out of curiosity and the fact that I love polls... I think it's safe to say that the time for some conclusion has come.
After these months: which of the three HOOM discs is the best in your opinion?

As for now the decision I had to make was between Disc 1 and Disc 3... I went for Disc 3 though it's been a really tough decision.

Disc 3. It has been the one that took me more time to get into, but ultimately the one that was most rewarding.

I think I'd probably go with disc 3 too.

I'm going to agree and say disc 3. It's the one that I was least interested in at first. I was all about disc 1 and the latter half of disc 2 for a few months, but disc 3 won me over recently. It's absolutely perfect.

Disc 2, for me, but I seriously love the whole thing from beginning to end. I agree with Miss Perky though - those songs are career-bests.

Disc 1 may be my favorite, but my favorite HOOM song--In California--is on Disc 2. I guess it balances out in the end. XD

This is exactly where I am right now. Maybe I need to give disc 3 more of a go.

These are my favorites from disc 2 as well. They are all perfect as far as I'm concerned.

In the end I had to choose between 1 and 2 and I picked 1 simply because it's still my most listened to.

Hard choice between Disc 1 and 3. Disc 1 grabbed me the most during the first listening sessions but over time songs like Soft as Chalk, Ribbon Bows and the mighty Kingfisher won me over completely.
I do occasionally skip Autumn and Esme.

Disc 2, while having some stunning songs or sections, as a whole seems to drag on a bit at times.

Disc 1 by an utter landslid. Disc 1 has '81, Good Intentions Paving Company, Baby Birch, No Provenance ... they're all good.

Of course I don't listen to discs anymore; I pretty much only use iTunes. Even the discs I play in my car are MP3 discs with 100+ songs. So I don't really have a favorite disc, I just have favorite songs, and disc 1 has the most.

I immediately fell in love with everything on Disc 1 first listen as every single song is gold. Disc 2 is slowly but surely getting some attention as Go Long clicked for me this past week. I'm only listening to Soft as Chalk and Does not Suffice on Disc 3. Nothing in between those 2 songs is really doing anything for me yet.

^Yeah disc 1 love was almost instant for me for most of the songs and now I love every single song that's on disc 1. I really think it's the most dynamic of all the discs. My second favorite would be Disc 3, also very dynamic. Disc 2 has some good tunes but I think it's the most mellow and the overall weakest.

Disc 1 for me. The others are great, but disc 1 is perfect.

Those 4 songs are what makes disc 2 the most amazing. The other discs have a song or two (Baby Birch, Kingfisher) that compare with the best of disc 2, but there isn't as much stuff there that makes my jaw drop as on disc 2.

Disc 1. It's the only one where I don't skip any song (I can't get into You and me bess or Esme). But my favourite moment of the disc is: In California, Jackrabbits, Go long.
