Here's a Volta/Biophilia-inspired one I did last night:

Thunderbolt
Earth Intruders (Mark "Spike" Stent Mix)
Hunter (Voltaic/studio)
Pleasure is All Mine (Voltaic DVD)
I See Who You Are (Mark Bell Mix)
Dark Matter (choir & organ mix)
Hidden Place
Mouth's Cradle (Live in Manchester)
Virus
Pagan Poetry (Matthew Herbert Handshake Mix)
Sacrifice
Generous Palmstroke
Immature (Bjork's version)
Army of Me (Voltaic/studio)
Triumph of a Heart
It's In Our Hands (original version)
Joga
Mutual Core
Nattura

I'm trying to work out an introductory playlist. I'm seeing Björk live this summer at a festival with some friends who don't know her (apart from stuff like It's Oh So Quiet), and I want to give them a mix/CD of her songs before that, so that they are more familiar with her material. I'm planning to include mostly the songs she plays live on the current tour to give my friends a taste of what they're going to hear. So I'll probably include quite a lot of Biophilia songs, with the older staples thrown in between. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I think that's a good idea about putting things from the tour on the CD. I'd definitely suggest one of the more choral ones ("Where Is The Line" or "Sonnets/Unrealities XI" perhaps) to give a flavour of that side of it, since the choir is a big part of the show. I also think "Joga," "Hidden Place," and "Pagan Poetry" have potential to make a strong impression on new listeners, plus they're in the Biophilia set too.

^In my experience the least boring Biophilia songs are Crystalline and Mutual Core. Most of the rest are only good for anything live 'specially Thunderbolt. tbh you could probably just throw Greatest Hits at your friends and be done, her best and most accessible songs are there

My playlist is just a plain ole "favorite songs" list, arranged vaguely by theme and sound. You could probably trace a narrative if you wanted it starts with songs that are violent and huge and cosmic, and ends with something a bit more humble~

blah

Oceania
Earth Intruders
Hunter
Pleasure Is All Mine
Bachelorette
Human Behaviour
Cocoon
Venus as a Boy
Possibly Maybe
Dark Matter
Hyperballad
Mutual Core
Pagan Poetry
I Go Humble

That is kind of difficult as her most accessible songs are not being played on the tour - All is Full of Love, Hyperballad, Human Behaviour, etc. I would go half and half and do something like this:

All is Full of Love
Hyperballad
Human Behaviour
Joga
Pagan Poetry
Crystalline
Hidden Place
Mouth's Cradle
Virus
You've Been Flirting Again
Isobel
One Day
Pluto
Declare Independence

oof. I should probably give Drawing Restraint 9 a proper listen.

I just read that Sun in My Mouth was adapted from e.e. cummings. I think a playlist with a Sun In My Mouth > Sonnets/Unrealities XI segue is on the way.

^ it's kind of a slog but there are some really excellent moments. atmospherically, at least. I like it more than Selmasongs and Volta, even if it isn't a real Björk album.

here's another playlist, tried to create one that sounds ancient, wintry, earthy and paganistic.
vanishing world

1. Vökuró
2. Frosti
3. Aurora
4. Pearl
5. An Echo, a Stain
6. Dark Matter
7. Storm
8. Öll Birtan
9. Ancestors
10. Cover Me
11. Sun in My Mouth
(I wanted to fit in Sacrifice but none of the transitions sounded right, thematically it should go somewhere in the middle. Also maybe put Solstice at the end.)

Björk playlist: What Kind of Magic Is This?
this is really cool!

CAVE DWELLERS

Cover Me (cave version)
Hollow
Ambergris March
Crystalline
Nature is Ancient
Ancestors
Hidden Place
Mouth's Cradle (live in Manchester)
Joga
Mutual Core
Nattura
It's in Our Hands (original mix)

This one kind of has a story to it. It looks similar to the one I already posted, but the Cover Me/Hollow segue was too good not to share.
