The Schubert really is a gorgeous piece of music isn't it?
You can hear the opening melody in it was used quite as is in Tori's version, but it certainly goes elsewhere after that. The "other side of the mountain" melody in "star whisperer" was something that didn't come from the work, if I remember right? |

Thanks! I'd wanted to hear it since I heard Star Whisperer, but I couldn't ever find it and couldn't be bothered to ask in the bootleg forum. I'll check it out after the listening party. Enjoying the Mendelssohn! Some of these melodies - the Satie, the Schubert, the Chopin - are fairly straightforwardly done on NOH; with the Mendelssohn piece, I feel she did something a bit different. |
