THIS JUST IN: The Pogues erased from history.

INT. UNDERHENGE, NIGHT.

THE ALLIANCE stands in front of THE PADDYDORICA as BONO looks out from within, bound to a chair.

BONO
You lot. Working together. An alliance. How is that possible?

DALEK SINEAD
The cracks in the skin of the universe.

COMMANDER MACGOWAN
All of reality is threatened!

CYBER-ROISIN
All universes will be deleted!

BONO
And you've come to me for help?

COMMANDER MACGOWAN
No! We will save the universe...from you!

BONO
From me?

CYBER-ROISIN
All projections correlate, all evidence concurs - Bono will destroy the universe. The Paddydorica was constructed to ensure the safety of the alliance.

DALEK SINEAD
A scenario was devised from re-runs of Live Aid.

COMMANDER MACGOWAN
A trap Bono could not resist!

DALEK SINEAD
The cracks in time are the work of Bono - it is confirmed! You will be prevented! Also, fuck the Space Pope!

BONO
No, please! Total event collapse! Every Irish LP will melt at every moment in history! The whole music scene will never have existed! Please, listen to me - Africa is starving right now and I'm the only one who can help it!

THE ALLIANCE seal the PADDYDORICA as BONO pleads to them, the last sliver of light from within disappearing as the box snaps shut.

CUT TO --

INT. U2'S RECORDING STUDIO

Mixing desks shoot sparks in all directions as the sound booth goes up in flames. THE CRACK appears on a monitor and a SINISTER VOICE is heard.

MIDGE URE (o.s.)
Silence will fall! Silence will fall!

THE EDGE looks despondently on as the recording studio is destroyed around him.

THE EDGE
I'm sorry, my love.

TO BE CUNTINUED

But is Bono jewish? IDK.

ETA: Oh my, JohnEdward have their own twitter account, through which they dispense "#jedhug"s to their fans. Go on Pete, you know you want to.

Is Sinead still recording? If so there is hope left for talent in Ireland. Otherwise, sacrificing U2 for the good of Ireland...I could back that.

I'm pretty sure it was divided up between U2 and Roisin Murphy. But U2 got most of it....
Sweet Jesus. U2 haven't been talented since The Joshua Tree. (Achtung Baby sorta had some moments, but Bono was quite too big for his britches by then.)

They're Irish! Ireland has been on a roll this year, brimming with talent. Imagine a duet with Crystal Swing.
That would be AMAZING.

Possibly the best worst thing ever.

Or if Jedward sang with the Cheeky Girls.

Sheesh. Go listen to some decent Irish music and come back when you know what you're talking about.

kthnx.

(although, I love Sinéad dearly, mental and all.)

ya'll are forgetting this BAMF

He also has his own statue. Does Bono have his own statue? I think not. (He doesn't, I actually checked)

Everything after Joshua Tree fucking sucks. But Joshua Tree is a pretty timeless album. That's the U2, I like. Pretty much from their earlier work like War to Joshua Tree. And I do like the Pogues.

Well, I like Achtung Baby okay, but like I said before, that felt to me like the point when Bono started to get insufferable. Which negated any interest I had in listening to U2 after that point.

Has anyone heard the album? These B&W 'chavvy boudoir photography' sets are really jarring with the album's whole '90s manufactured pop aesthetic. Such is the multi-faceted world of PLANET JEDWARD. Like they're combining their Erotica period with their Hard Candy period. Art.

That's obviously just showing off how versatile they are as artists, and how we shouldn't try and pidgeonhole them as just twincestpop shouty wonders. I can't wait for Jedward Unplugged where they duet with Sting, Charlotte Martin and Enya.

I like to think there was a project tone meeting where issues such as this were hammered out.
