Always good to know you're going to marry a girl you don't love and then use her family's money to make your life better. A class act, truly.

I'm curious as to whether you came up with any additional reasons to marry the gal or whether your feelings haven't changed.

You've never tried to argue with Ben. He's the least intellectually honest person I've ever had the misfortune of talking to.

Maybe so, but I've seen no indications that he is as reprehensible a human being in real life as sn00py is.
I'd have to agree with this. Ben, for all of his intellectual dishonesty while arguing, seems to be a decent guy in real life (as long as he doesn't actually protest at abortion clinics or whatnot). sn00py is scum.

Makes me think David Floyd wasn't so bad now (thanks a lot for doing that sn00py ).

Thanks Loin, now I can finally clear things up:

The other problem is, I don't feel anything for her, I am not happy to see her, (but neither am I sad or anything negative), her birthday is coming up and I don't even think about it or her. I am not attracted to her, but all girls lose their looks in the end anyway. I now know why I felt this way, it had nothing to do with her, it had to do with me and my job. Just recently I asked my boss for a raise and he declined it, my current pay is far below what I should be getting and I have been working my ass off for the past 5 years and never received a raise, I thought it was about time he starting showing his appreciation for raising this company up the ladder. When he declined, and amongst other problems in the office, it became clear to me that I had to quit, which I will be doing on the 1st of December. When I realised I would be quitting, a huge load of my shoulders was removed and suddenly my feelings towards my gf changed for the good, I now pay full attention to her and do not want to let her go. So as you can see, it is my devotion to success in the company that 1. Over shadowed anything that was not related to my job and 2. Was starting to make my life miserable.

I fixed that by letting go of my addiction to work. I have learned my lesson to divide work from life in a balanced manner.

I have no idea why you think it's meaningful to judge solely based on one dimension of their respective personalities.

Because Ben has never done anything horrendous like this. Only thing I know about Ben is that he's dishonest when debating. But that's not all that rare.
