If you can make it to Munich (Or pass through on a train connection), hit Oktoberfest. It's a big tourist trap, but at least you can say you were there once in your life...

I'm a sucker for Italian Renaissance art, and one out of every three pieces is located in Florence.

I'm trying to remember whether Venice gets flooded every spring or every autumn. Don't go there if it's flooding.
