Slowwhand had a heart attack on Sunday. They put a stint in the one artery that was 100% blocked. He is out of hospital as of yesterday and staying with his mom so she can look after him while he recovers. He sounds good but doesn't have access to computer right now. So you know how that is driving him nuts. He did want me to come and let you all know what's going on. I am sure they want him to take it easy for a while but you know he won't be down long.
Damn it, that sucks!

But I'm glad that it seems like he will have a good recovery.

OK kids, listen up. Go get your blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol checked. DO it now!

Don't be like Slowwy and wait until you have a heart attack.

Yeah, because this place is just what the doctor ordered for a man recovering from a heart attack.

Best wishes, Sloww, and thanks for bringing the news, boann.
I talked to him today and read him all the new replies. it did cheer him up a lot and he laughed a lot over your comment solomwi.. he asked me to let you all know he really appreciates all your comments and support.

he said he does have a lap top at work and maybe can get someone to go pick it up for him, though there is only dial up at his moms place. i don't live in texas so i can't help too much. his daughter is coming by to see him everyday and he is recovering at his moms house. he goes back to see the doc next thursday. he was hoping to go back to work on monday.. but that isn't going to happen.

keep him in your thoughts or prayers everyone.

thanks

I hope the permanent damage was minimal.

Thanks for posting this DrStrangelove

They didnt have a doctor when I was living for over 40 years on the shores of the river Denial....

But thanks to exercie, proper diet and meds, all are in great shape, including many other levels that were in the danger zone...

Sloww Bro, we lift you in prayer, and if anything good comes out of your suffering, perhaps this will remind someone, it does happen to many people, sooner or later!

Sloww... I am sorry to hear of the heart issues, but as Doc said earlier, you're now a formal inductee into our little club. Glad to hear you're on the mend, brother, and here's hoping you've got lots of cute nurses showering you with attention till you're all better!

They say Texas only thinks it's so important because of the big stuff in it.

Well, Sloww is one of the biggest. HE MUST BE RESTORED FOR TEXAS PRIDE and cookies!

Get well soon, good sir. Political arguments about individuals' rights and rugged personal freedoms won't be the same till you get back to defend them!

Egad! I got so upset about Sloww's heart attack, I forgot to thank boann for letting us know. Thanks, girl. Sloww's a member of the family.

I'm looking forward to Sloww's first post, once he gets his hands on a computer.
