Dude, they all use the same source data, that's why the have the hole in the same place. Goddamnit you really are a moron.

if you zoom out - there are plenty of other holes and even rifts
probably problematic technical data due to the nature of scanners, or the nature of stretching and combining data from different sources.

When I checked WikiSky its map was identical to Google's, except distorted as they were using a different projection.

Oh that - well, that´s just my ass... barely visible normally, but huge in infrared (cause it´s so hot
).
How it got up there ? I dont remember - i was so high...
