It was his great uncle, so even more unimportant than if it was his uncle.
No matter what he said, his lame attempt to pretend he has any real connection to veterans or active duty soldiers is pathetic and laughable. He has nothing to offer in this category, he should simply leave it alone and focus on what he does have credentials for. When anyone discovers what that could possible be, let the rest of us know ![]() |

Please. As the German saying goes, "if you haven't rescued Jews from a horrible death in Auschwitz, you haven't rescued Jews from a horrible death." |

I fully admit that we are impossibly stupid idiots. Not just Clinton/Obama fanatics, but the McCain ones, Nader ones, and even Barr (Libertarian) ones. The only difference is the McCain idiots aren't competing internally. I will grant you that you guys are just as stupid as the Nader and Barr supporters. ![]() |

Oh, well they were (they are just quiet now). Remember the whole Ann Coulter saying if McCain wins, she'll campaign for Hillary? And Limbaugh going off on McCain. Right wing radio still isn't that happy with Johnny Mac. This was so long ago it doesn't matter anymore. The fact is it's mid 2008 and you guys are still weaking eachother. McCain can only get stronger here, and you guys are ****ing it all up. |

If you said Buchenwald the story would have lost is "point" because most of those at the rally wouldn't have a clue of the significance of the site. That said, the basic gist of his story is correct, but it is funny watching people trip over themselves to excuse Obama's attempt make up a more user friendly version of himself. Is it funnier that people are defending him because the jist and sentiment of the statement is correct, or is it funnier that republican sleezebags are jumping all up over it like it is a massive lie? the latter is true, assuredly. |

And yes, everyone does it, but it's getting harder to get away with and I don't think politicians quite get that yet. There are more ears listening these days.
And normally I shrug most of it off and just laugh, but Obama is selling a package that doesn't include this type of behavior and it looks worse on him. Heck I expect Hillary to be a lying B**** and McCain to flip flop on items that cost him previously with the electorate. Obama is selling a higher standard but doesn't seem to live up to it himself. |
