I loved "Cold Mountain". A movie that actually did a great book well.

Too true.

The strongest part of the book was its descriptive writing, which can't translate over into a movie. Plus, the movie was saddled with Nicole Kidman who, IMHO, is the worst actress in Hollywood. Minghella overcame these hurdles and turned out a good movie.

She is gorgeous. And Moulin Rouge proves she can sing. But she can't act to save her life.
