A hypothetical post-capitalist planned mode of production according to need, rather than profit.

The outlaw of the ownership of private property especially real estate and private business replacing it with government/communal ownership of all means of production. Theoretically all profits from production would be used to improve social welfare or to expand production or to provide for the common defense. In reality this means a small political elite actually controls everything thus leaving the system wide open for abuse; abuse which historically repeatedly occured in communist countries. Also since a few people make all the real decisions it is extremely susceptible to human error should one of those individuals make the wrong choice. Much more so then a government system with checks and balances or where economic decisions are not concentrated in the hands of a few.

Then there's a problem with a lack of innovation due to a lack of profit motive for would be innovators. Communism has been tried dozens upon dozens of times and has always lead to failure, economic stagnation, and repression by the state.

Certain means and tools of production can't be privately owned but rather owned by the country, oops, I mean the people. That's my shortest definition. Not entirely accurate but good enough IMO.

A failed idea of social organization, based on lousy texts, tested and proven relatively inefficient economically, also, evil.

I will say one thing positive about Communist nations, they have fewer fat and obese people because of agricultural reforms gone horribly wrong. We could certainly use some of that in the US.

Communism is the inevitable future.

A fortiori, it does not refer to non-Marxist forms of socialism. Yes, that's why the Russians created the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
