Default russians flip out and kill people
When asked about his chosen disguise, he told police he had been inspired by his boyhood idol - Robin Hood.

Robin Hood never ran away because an old man fell down, firing off his rifle.

And I don't even mind it really. I think every man has a right to defend himself, but even more so when it comes to older people. I mean they don't really have a fighting chance usually, so why should they risk and just gamble that the robbers aren't violent? And why should they take your stuff from your home ANYWAY? I fully support senior citiznes shooting robbers in the face and I'm glad to know that they're more trigger happy sometimes, or at least they don't freeze like the modern pussies do.

I think it's a fair deal, that if you enter someones house, you risk the chance of being shot. It's a killing field and if you want to enter that zone, don't come crying to me if grandpa blows up your face, I'm not going to feel sympathy, in fact I'll applaud and hope they get medals for the shooting.

Close. As we're now aware, he was a Russian who grew up loving Robin Hood, so he dressed as his perception of a ninja.

Yes...the BBC is clearly just a tabloid.

Vaclavic sounds like an abrakadabra for my Russian ear. It sounds more like a Balkan last name, but not Russian. On the other hand, Igor is a Russian name. So I think this whole story is just a fake.
You know, going off my last name I don't think I'm from America, not sure where I am from, but definitely not America. Going off my first name I'm English. Clearly my existence is being fabricated as we speak. Now all I need is a ninja outfit....

I find the story suspicious and think that it could be that:
a) the journalist who wrote this story made a mistake
b) the so-called ninja lied to cops
c) the story is a fake

1) He is a criminal. He isn't awesome. He was busted. A real ninja would commite a sucide, but not get caught.

2) A story about the suppose to be a Russian man with a Russian name, but non-Russian last name, camouflaged in an all black suit, with a powerful bow in one hand and a knife strapped to his leg and carrying night scopes and a head torch at the same time sounds like a BS, imho. Esp. considering: When asked about his chosen disguise, he told police he had been inspired by his boyhood idol - Robin Hood. I find it very unlikely, since, imho, Robin Hood is a weird choice of boyhood idol for soviet children. How old is he? In SU the stories about Robin Hood were not as widespread as on the West.

Just how many movies about Robin Hood you've seen when you were a kid?

I've seen one.

He's from the 50s/60s, I assume. Everyone involved in the big or small screen back then wore excessive makeup, whether male or female. Check out "The Ten Commandments" sometime, Charlton Heston looks absurd.
