Continuing on the line of argumentation that Owen had in post 40, it seems to me that Darwinism postulates an "unknown" god that rewards evolutionary "progress". This 'god' (or group held belief-value system) holds out 'salvation' or a reward not so much for the individual in the present but for his/her progeny, i.e. they will be among the fittest. This 'god' is all-powerful as it has the power of death (but not life) over all.
Sad isn't it that on this most joyous day of all we see so much of the world still held captive, in their and by own mind, by the broken power of death. Hasn't anyone ever told them about the emancipation proclamation? Christ is Risen! Trampling down death by death and upon those in the tomb (of their present existence) giving life! |
