For NYC and London I would get free access to a corporate apartment for the duration of the project, which is nice.

The NYC corporate apartments are in Manhattan, dunno about London.

Then London is the obvious choice. The main draw back was the cost of living but since that's taken care of you might as well enjoy a year or two abroad.

Of course, I've found in my work experience that they let you request all sorts of cool work locations but in the end you get sent where ever they need you most. On the up side I'm getting sent to Hawaii for 4-6 months and get put up in a company rented funished apartment.

Actually it depends on what projects I have to do here in California as well. Two of our senior geologists just jumped ship to start their own company so I'm looking at a promotion. They might have me flying back and forth between Hawaii and California.

If you can afford it, London. The only city that gives it a run for its money is New York.

The caution being if you like extremely busy and dense cities. Toronto doesn't begin to compare to how packed London can be at times.

Just the work culture. I currently work for a company based in NYC (I'm in a "remote office"). They do this, but they're only paying for 40 hours/week, so that's all they get.

Maybe the work culture differs by industry. It'll likely be the same industry. Our main clients are investment banks.

They pay my company for my services 40 hours a week, and that's all they get...no matter what happens. Good for you . I voted bananaville, as property prices are insane here, but seeing as you're getting a corporate apartment I'll pitch for London. I'll take you to a football match if you like.

I'd be interested to know where the apartment is.

Toronto FC.

The brand new stadium is scary. As people stomp the whole thing shakes and bolts fall. Scary. No way. Are you serious? How could you tell? Could you see the bolts fall?

Hopefully, y'all are enjoying having Eskandarian and his headgear in town.

Don't work in London. It'll suck your wallet dry and still ask for more.

Cort Haus, yes, that's mainly because we speak different languages and have our own accents within those languages

Anyway, London.

Think about it. You'll have a chance to work in NYC later on as well, I'm sure... but London might not come up for a long time so it would be my pick.
