I have new shoes
Why did you buy such useless shoes?
I can't believe I clicked on this thread, btw. Wow, I'm bored. -Arrian |
Girly thread.
Lets kick it up a notch. I have a new 17'' Plasma screen. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif Spec. |
I bought a pair of little adhesive thingies (the other sides of which are rough, almost like sandpaper), made specifically for this purpose, from CVS that I stuck to the soles of my shoes to increase the grip.

Dress shoes skimp on soles way too often. Cheap ones anyway. I m a big fan of rockports and never have any problems. These are actually really nice, high quality ones. |

If you do have to take good shoes out in the muck, wear rubbers. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif |

Neither my Fratelli Rossettis nor Bruno Maglis had proper heels and soles for this climate. It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the shoe as purchased.
We get a lot of rain around here, so you would have to replace the heels and soles pretty soon anyway. Hence, the rubber heels and soles. |
That's nice dear http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/bored.gif

My telly, among other things, is 2" bigger than yours.

Actually I am quite impressed that they are all dropping in price so quickly. Does anywhere still actually make CRTs any more?
|
Galoshes are a solution - they also save the expensive leather sole and upper shoe from moisture.

They look nice, and they're fine for comfort, but the soles are very slippery. I feel like I'm walking on ice all the time. The soles are leather with absolutely no tread (the only feature on the sole is that the heel is raised. The rest of the sole is simply flat and smooth). Should I go walk on some broken glass to build up some sort of grip, or should I just live with it and file a lawsuit when I inevitably hurt myself? You want a medal, or a chest to pin it on? |
Shoes should be nice to walk in, which means they don't slip unless you're walking on wet ice or something. All other considerations are tertiary.

unless it's part of dress code

Doesn't KH live in Baltimore? Anyway, pretty much all Canukhs live in areas with ice-free summers.
