They're classic syllable based riddles :

A, for instance. A funny chapel: Dave. Not in: out. My whole: frog. Answer: Davout

What ?

I had thought these riddles were evident - you can find plenty of them in any puzzle/crosswords booklet. Well, in French at least.

What is it you don't understand, Sloww ?

It's simple: each question's answer is a word, a syllable or a sound that is or is very similar to a part of the total answer. Attach each answer together (as to make it not too difficult, they're in the correct order, no anagrams). Then, the phrase 'the whole' gives a clue as to the nature of the whole answer.

Is that clear now ?

Nothing. I just don't have time to play, because I have to go to work, and I'm angry. Carry on.
