Default John Edwards not running?
If he's dropping out, it may be because he's seen the writing on the wall and realizes that he can't compete money-wise with Clinton and Obama.

It's tough to know. Guess we'll just have to wait. By no means has Edwards built up any momentum the last couple of weeks in order to make a splashy announcement that he's running. He's been Mr. Invisible.

He already made that announcement, Dan. Obama stole his place as the empty vessel people can fill with whatever they want to anyway.

Yeah, he used the city of New Orleans as a stage prop for his announcement.

Hot off the press...

WASHINGTON - Democrat John Edwards is suspending his campaign for the presidency due and may drop out completely because his wife has suffered a recurrence of cancer, sources said Thursday.

A prominent Iowa Democrat told Norah O’Donnell of NBC News that Edwards’ campaign has begun calling supporters in Iowa and telling them that he will suspend his presidential bid and started cancelling upcoming events in Iowa. Source:

That's not what he's saying at his little conference....he said the campaign is strong and will continue.

Now that it's in the bones, it's very bad news for her... that's how from the people I've known breast cancer usually becomes fatal (in the bones).

Clever use of the media though

If it's so serious, I think he should stop his candidacy and tend to his wife's needs.

Strategically, as previously mentioned, even if all he wants is to win the presidency, he should suspend his campaign.

It's really so far before the primaries everything can happen. He'd get a lot of sympathy and voters wouldn't be incredibly tired of seeing his face come fall and winter.

On the other hand I'd rather not see him win And Breast Cancer=

is that she will die within a year or two. Two of their kids are still pretty young. I would not continue to run, but then I'm not a politician.
