Don't know about video clips, but I'm in the market myself, and in the same price range, and I'm looking at Canon Powershots. OTOH, my daughter has a 7.2 megapixel Sony cybershot she really likes; I think it was a little more expensive than that when she bought it, but that was a year ago so it may have come down in price.
