Remember, there's more to Maryland than just the central corridor. Appalchian Maryland, Garrett County in particular, gets a great deal of snowfall. This upstate NY thing is pretty impressive. The attitude of the locals is typical of those who live in areas with lots of lake effect weather.
I was in DC (Fairfax VA actually) last week during the cold snap. The folks on the radio were in a total panic. It was 9 degrees with some wind. It's pretty nasty in the Midwest today. Lots of flights canceled at O'Hare. So glad I don't commute anymore. ![]() ![]() |

That reminds me of an old George Carlin bit: I'm imagine a lot of you were surprised by this weekend's weather. Especially if you listened to my forecast Friday night. I'd like to personally apologize to the former residents of [*******]. --But let's face it. No one predicted mud. What happened is that a rainstorm came down from the north, and a dust storm came out of the west. Presto: Mud. |
