Isn't this like the fourth "Saddam's Dead" thread we've had in two days?

I have a nephew doing 50 years, no parole, for doing habitual petty crap. Hussein was an habitual murderer.
No, the punishments fit.

Yeah, what did Saddam have to do with Osama?

Oh, right, something about the War on Terror, ruining another country so they wouldn't have to ruin our own.

Let's do some more. I want to rub it in Q's face. Let's execute some Gitmo Al Queda.

Glad to see him go, sad about the cost, and mad as hell at the Republicrats for getting us into one mess after the next...

"Sad" about the cost? quite

This should have cost one ****ing sniper bullet and maybe a pack of smokes and a beer for the sniper, not tens of thousands (possibly over 100K) of Iraqi lives and thousands of coalition (mostly US personnel) deaths and casualties. It took thousands at the end of the first gulf war when Bush Sr told Iraqis to rebel and then turned his back on them, nobody got Saddam then.

I am sorry but I dont think death is too light a punishment, I think it fits the crimes that Saddam commited. Also why do you want to sink to the level of Saddam by torturing him the rest of his life? Why do you even need to do that? Also you under estimate the things some people will do or allow people to do to them just to stay alive. If you where really really faced with death or years of torture what would you really pick? I know a lot of you would say death, but I think when it really came down to it, most people would pick the tourture. Life is something that would should charish, and people like Saddam dont deserve it.

Bingo. Where there's life, there's hope. Leave it to the Vengeance that waits.
