Obviously you know exactly where he is and you're offering me a sucker's bet.

That means that this is some deal to add mystery and suspense to the convention proceedings...

Hmm.

We're on to you.

Markos ruled that out, means he knows more.

They're screwing around and the cat is outa the bag. Might as well just come clean Markos...

Markos needs to spill the beans. What'd JohnT find so disagreeable? I'm sure there were e-mails exchanged.

So he was up and well in April.

His profile says he's an ex-CEO. Maybe he's that Enron guy who just died the other day

(smiley because it can't be true anyway)

Although nobody's perfect, I think your perception of these two people is rather colored by your interactions with them. Perhaps the context of your interactions has something to do with the attitude that is expressed

Or lack thereof. DanQ refuses to respond to most PMs that are actually important, and MarkG invents rules as he sees fit and then refuses to discuss them reasonably via PM.

For instance, I'm sure most people here weren't aware you can be banned from Apolyton for something you say on another site, even if you are a paying Plus subscriber. To me, this shows how very little they value their business they run (though they deny it is a business, they are accepting payment for service). And I think the whole f*ckup that was the convention showed that to a little more people. I'm sure JohnT knows more about it now.

And if any of you have the misfortune of ever trying to deal with DanQ or MarkG and you don't see eye to eye, they basically **** in your eyesocket and hope you like it. Go figure that JohnT had enough.

Given JohnT's comments to Markos and Dan before his disappearance, it isn't a big leap at all to assume there were major conflicts behind the scenes.

Neither Markos nor Dan are man enough to admit this, if it is true anyway. They still stand by their appointment of Urban Ranger as a moderator.

Plus, I'm told by people in attendance Markos and Dan weren't saying good things about me at the conference. If you want to talk about being cheap, talk to them.

Not only do they invent rules on whim and have zero communication skills and appoint a censorship-supporting communist with a well-displayed lack of common sense as moderator, they will refuse to talk to you for long periods of time -- and then when they do talk, it's either direct insults (in Markos' case) or frustrating political dancing (in Dan's case). I air my comments in public, and Mark and Dan reserve their comments to PM (and then ban people for showing how unprofessional and childish they are via PM) and talk trash about someone at the conference who isn't attending. They both need to grow a spine.

Is there any other poster who was consistently hostile to them, and yet remained a regular? Is there any other poster who threatened to sue?
