I could not possibly disagree with the original post more. The movie was fantastic. The plot was strong and coherant, the acting was great. There are NOT really any loose ends, if they made no sequel, the movie would stand on its own. A movie needs not bring closure to everything, just tell a good story.... none the less, the movie does bring closure to every issue adressed. To compared it to the matrix reloaded is a serious insult-it was a fantastic movie.

Spoiler below:
Spoiler: It is resolved. Jack is dead. If he comes back to life it might continue, as for now its no triangle because one of the sides, is dead. You do not have a love triangle between 2 people and a corpse inside the stomach of a kraken. Even if it is not resolved, its not a major deal if it is not. |

Spoiler:
We don't know if Jack is going to come back to life yet. There are no ramafications for now, he is dead. If he was ressurected at the last second, that would be one thing but it is not. For now, he is dead. IF he comes back to life in the next movie and he proboably will, the thus created love-triangle problem will be resolved then. It is not a problem now. Your nit picking, basically. It is something minor and a movie needs not resolve all plot lines to be a great movie. |

Spoiler: Marital problems are an entirley distinct issue from the wife kissing this other man. There is the adultery of the wife kissing the man and the marital problems which likley caused her to go astray. If the second man dies, the marital problems remain, but the affair does not. I don't care about the marital problems *shrug*. The movie was awsome. Your nitpiking, you don't want to like it.
