I suppose he is too humble to announce it here himself, so I did it myself.
Here's the link: http://ancientfaith.com/announcements/shall_we_forgive Now that I am speaking about him, I would just like to say: Thank you for all of the work you do on this site!! It's much appreciated and very helpful. |

In my minds eye, I envision the monks at Simonpetra monastery, but I am sure I am wrong. Thanks, Paul. That would be from the feast of St. Silouan the Athonite, track #2. I haven't listened to that in years, and that's probably why I felt good to hear it. You have a good "mind's eye". ![]() |

No, its that I went there a couple of years back and they really made an impression on me. Was I really right? Especially the lead bass singing monk. He seemed to be the leader of the younger monks. ![]() Simonopetra was my first guess too, but I mistakenly checked their Vespers CD to see if it was the same "Kurie Ekekraksa" from the homily, but it wasn't, so I crossed them off my list. Then when you suggested the same guess, I thought to check some of their other CDs, and when I checked St. Silouan I found the match. What year did you visit the Holy Mountain? Did you get to hear the chanting at Vatopaidi also? They're my favorites. |
