Default BARCGAL Banned as Starting Vanguard in the U.S.
Or rather, I should say for English-format tournaments.
Starting August 1. That's right, you heard me.

So what does this mean?

Royal Paladins just got punched in the face. Hard. No, seriously, Japan at least has Wingal Brave to use as a starting Vanguard. Hell, they even have Bluegal, which can at least be called to RG when ridden on (but otherwise is rather meh).

So what are our alternative options now? Well...

Stardust Trumpeteer (6k Vanilla)
Durengal (when it comes out on Aug 11 in Set 3).

That's it. Literally, that either forces you to use a very sub-par vanguard or play at least some part of the Galahad line (Galahad line isn't that bad imo, but being forced to run it is a different matter...).

Bluegal isn't much better; despite being able to be called to RG when ridden, it's only a 4k body and gives no additional effects unless you're running a Hi-Beast variant of Royal Paladins.

BT05 and Wingal Brave is nowhere near in sight; BT04 is scheduled to be released in December, which is a far five months away. Considering BT07 got inserted between 03 and 04, Bushiroad may do the same with 08 and 05, meaning we might not even see BT05 for anywhere from 8 months to a whole year.

Comments?
