It's not all that bad. Upgrade your ram to 4GB if you're running 64-bit Windows and pickup an external HDD for extra storage. Aside from that the processor is pretty bad.

If you wanna exchange it while you still can, consider going with a mid-line Acer or HP. You can usually pick one up with decent specs for about 500-600. Aim for an Intel I3 processor and maybe an ATI4650 graphics card if you wanna do some light gaming. Everything else is upgradable easily.
