Hi

I wonder if anyone can help? We have friends that are on holiday
in the DR and we have not heard from them by phone. Has the bad weather
effected the phone lines?

Most probably they are having too good of a time. Also, to call out from a hotel telephone is usually expensive.

Which area are they in? As far as I know, communication has been re-established practically everywhere...

I was speaking to someone in Sosua on Sunday. She was saying there is still a huge number of phone lines not working and there is no end in sight!!
