I am writing to ask for assistance in connecting to someone in the DR Peace Corps community who is working on special education projects. I am a educator in New Jersey and am doing some research on the cultural interpretations of physical and educational disabilities in DR. I will be down in DR in August and would like to discuss the current status of special education and children and family impressions of disabilities with some of your volunteers. I would also like to get a chance to talk with some families who have disabled children in different locations throughout DR. Any help you can give is very appreciated. Thanks.
