I am here doing my first solo art exhibition in Paris and have been delighted to meet up with my longtime colleague, bassist Clyde Reed and his wife, Cheryl. Today we're meeting with Taran Singh, the genial host of Taran's Free Jazz Hour, one of the only internet radio shows specializing in free jazz and improvised music.

He has been playing the work of Al Neil, Paul Cram, Coat Cooke, Paul Plimley and other luminaries of the local free jazz scene in Vancouver for several years now on his excellent program. Although he was unaware of what had gone on in this field in Vancouver over the decades, he has made up for it with in depth interviews and much air play.
