Joints are slow to heal because there aren't many blood vessels in them. One thing that seemed to help me is infrared. I have a far infrared sauna, but if you don't want to buy one you could simply get an emitter and wire 120 volts to it and mount it under your desk.

http://www.farinfraredanswers.com/fi...s/pid-243.html You can buy just one 163 watt emitter without the housing for less than $40. Zap your knee twice a day for 20 minutes. That will increase blood flow and make it heal a little faster.
